Recently my friend Sam visited me (he has an awesome video blog series) before he heads to Malaysia. One of our conversations revolved around how most young folks (and just generally most folks) operate under the sense that they are immortal and with that comes a certain complacency — an “I’ll do it later” sort of thought process. Thus, an important goal is to be reminded of our limited time and to act accordingly.
To truly live, one must make peace with death — to not fear it, yet be aware its inevitable coming. Then, and only then, can one’s true capacity can be fulfilled.
I do not write this post with darkness in mind. Many seem to believe when I write about our ultimate end I am delving into a forced morbidity. Instead, I write quite joyfully because no more joyous thing exists than the conquering of the notion of death.
